Aultmore was just the place for us! We had a kids' yoga retreat at Cairngorm Yoga Studio just down the road and it was a joy to stroll along the high street looking towards the snowing hills each morning. We also used it as a great starting point for striking out into the wider area and exploring what the Highlands has to offer in February. We loved the CD collection!

Positives: spacious, well-equipped, great location (although it's on the main road, not too noisy). Easy arrival and departure. Warm, with storage heaters + additional convector heaters (we were there during a very cold week with heavy snow). Good beds, linen, towels.
Negatives: hot water insufficient to fill the large bath; no dishwasher; only one bathroom, no separate toilet.

The house is lovely and ideal for us as we were walking/hiking in and around the area. The heating is a bit tricky to navigate but fine once sorted, the fire is great. We really enjoyed our stay and is a great location.
