Ideally situated on the outskirts of popular Aviemore, and yet within easy walking distance of its excellent facilities, this detached log cabin makes a great holiday home.
Aviemore is the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, a vibrant and lively village with an array of outdoor pursuits and attractions meaning that there is something for everyone, making it an incredibly popular tourist destination.
Strathavon Chalet will suit a family or group of friends who want to get out and about and savour this wonderful area, and have a cosy, comfortable and relaxing base to return to at the end of a busy day. The well-equipped accommodation is set over two floors, and the modern fitted kitchen with dining area ensures meals can be prepared with ease.
The sitting room is on the upper floor and a door provides access out onto a large balcony, from which spectacular views of the famous Cairngorms can be enjoyed.
There are two comfortable bedrooms, a modern shower room, and outside there is a large shared garden where children can play safely.
From the garden there is a path that leads to the beautiful River Spey, just a 5 minute stroll away.
For walkers there are numerous paths to follow and plenty of cycle tracks along magical routes.
Wherever you go you will see an amazing array of wildlife and the RSPB centre at Loch Garten, where the Ospreys return year after year, is a must for all ages.

Strathavon Chalet is a detached log cabin on the outskirts of Aviemore in Scotland. The cabin sleeps five people in two bedrooms which are made up of a twin room and a family room with a double and a single bed. There is also a ground floor shower room, a kitchen with a dining area, and a first floor sitting room with an electric fire and a balcony with furniture. Outside there is roadside parking available for one car and shared use of a lawned garden. Strathavon Chalet is in an ideal location for families or friends wanting to get out and about and enjoy walking in this spectacular area.

This was my second visit to Strathavon Chalet and it won't be my last. The Chalet is in a great location, being a short walk from Aviemore's main street and with plenty of places to eat and drink nearby, but is in a quiet location with great views towards the Cairngorm mountain range. It's well equipped and very cosy with the heating on at night.

A lovely cottage /chalet in the centre of Aviemore (behind the railway station but in no way noisy) every thing we could want was in the chalet, lovely grounds as I say in the centre of Aviemore but far enough away not to be disturbed by the hustle and bustle of what was a very busy little town.
We would both highly recommend.
With the beautiful River Spey at the bottom of the garden.
