Woodpecker is a mid-terrace, ground floor cottage in the grounds of High Head Castle Farm, on the owner's dairy farm in the Ive Valley, just 13 miles from Penrith. The cottage sleeps four people and has a double and a twin en-suite bedrooms and an open plan living area with a fitted kitchen, a dining area and a sitting room with a woodburner. Outside the cottage is plenty of off road parking and a small garden with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. With its neighbouring cottage, Woodpecker can sleep a total of six people and makes a superb base for exploring this glorious part of the country.

A very nice place to stay, peaceful and tranquil. Would stay again. Easy car journeys to visit places such as lovely Keswick and Windermere but a delight to come back to our peaceful cottage after what can be the hustle and bustle of Lake district tourist spots.

Just what we needed, Enough space for 3 people, Fields to walk in on the Farm with my dog.Great place to explore the Lake District. Stunning views. Comfortable place to stay ,beds are as comfortable as at home, great sleep, all the facilities you will need.

Had a lovely stay at woodpecker, very clean and tidy holiday cottage. Lots of space in the property and it was nice and peaceful too.
The only bit of feedback would be to add some more kitchen equipment - there was no frying pan apart from a griddle, and no large glasses for drinks.
