There's also an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area, while outside, a shared courtyard and ample off road parking with lockable bike storage awaits. The Byre is a charming holiday cottage, with plenty of beautiful walking and cycling trails available from the doorstep. Please note: Weekly stays are only available from Friday to Friday.

This was a lovely property! Plenty of room for three adults and a dog; clean, very well equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer and full cooker. Lovely walk into Newton Stewart as well. Really made to feel very welcome. It absolutely made our holiday special. Highly recommended.

We wanted to visit lots of Scottish National Trust and Scottish Heritage sites right across South West Scotland. The Byre is centrally placed and was ideal for our extensive car trips. The Byre is first class in all categories, quiet, clean, fully equipped, very comfortable, plenty of parking space, and nearby shopping. Just like home from home really.

Very comfortable and pleasant place to stay. Great location with good walking/cycling route into Newton Stewart and to link in with other cycle routes in the area. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.
