This detached Victorian house is situated high on the hill above Dulverton, along a steep drive at the end of a lane.
With wonderful views and elegant style, it is excellent accommodation for families or friends, in any weather.
Over three storeys, you enter through the hall on the ground floor, which leads you into the charming sitting room for relaxing on the chaise longue or comfy sofas beside the wood burning stove in a marble fireplace.
You have the benefit of an additional family sitting room with another lovely wood burning stove, leading through an arch to your dining room, where you can enjoy meals prepared in the well equipped kitchen, complete with old fashioned pantry.
For quiet time, head into the study with its desk.
On the lower ground floor is a fun games room with Wii, table tennis and table football.
The five bedrooms are found up the stairs, two of the doubles boasting views over the town.
Beyond your parking area you enjoy the same brilliant views from your lawn garden with table and chairs.
Dulvertons good shops and pubs are within easy reach, and with this being the centre of the Exmoor National Park, you are surrounded by marvellous countryside to walk, cycle or ride.
If you prefer to take it easy, the drive through woods to the heather hills is lovely.
Tarr Steps is an historic beauty spot and the beach at Minehead offers traditional seaside fun. The Mount is a spacious and friendly house to enjoy with lots to see and do all around.

The Mount is an elegant detached Victorian house high on the hill in the Somerset town of Dulverton. The house sleeps ten people in five bedrooms: three double (two with en suite shower room) and a twin, with family bathroom. On the ground floor are two sitting rooms with wood burning stoves, a dining room, a kitchen and a study. On the lower ground floor is a games room. Outside is a lawned garden with furniture and views. With Dulverton’s town amenities nearby, The Mount is a smashing house for a lovely break in Somerset.

The Mount is extremely well equipped with everything we needed. We would have liked a washing line - there is a tumble dryer but the weather was so good it seemed a shame to use it. Instead we hung washing on the airer provided and put it outside. This is only a minor thing though! Being on a steep hill certainly tested our leg muscles!

This house is great from start to finish. Loads of room for everyone. The house is up the top of a very narrow steep hill but this only adds to its charm . The owner couldn’t do enough for us before our arrival.
Only real suggestion is to make sure you bring your first day groceries with you as nearest proper super market is 30 mins away.

An excellent property, well presented, well equipped, spacious, clean, ample parking, great views. The only downside is an incredibly steep drive up to it & I mean very steep , first gear job.
