This 18th century terraced cottage is located in Noss Mayo, facing the river across a lane.
With homely comfort, period features and designer fabrics and furnishings, this is charming accommodation.
Traditional stable doors lead into the sitting room, all cosy and snug. The two en suite double bedrooms are on the two levels, with a smart kitchen on the first floor where you can open the back door to the garden on a sunny day. This garden at the rear is terraced, with steps taking you up to a sunny elevated decked area where you can see the river between rooftops.
You have the bonus of a second outdoor seating area down by the river, accessed across the lane and with a table and chairs.
You need only to stroll 200 yards to relax in one of the friendly pubs, which offer a tempting menu too. Plymouth has all the city amenities you could wish for, with restaurants, a theatre and history to explore.
Around the village are lots of activities to experience, from sailing to paddle boarding, riding and tennis.
And of course, the lovely coastline is the focal point of this South Devon region, with a beautiful sandy beach at Mothecombe and a brilliant beach at Wembury for rock pooling, swimming and visiting the marine conservation centre.

Cherry Tree Cottage is a charming terraced 18th century cottage in the Devon riverside village of Noss Mayo. The cottage sleeps four people in two double bedrooms on the ground and first floor, one with en suite shower room and the other with en suite bathroom. On the ground floor is a sitting room and on the first floor is a kitchen with dining area and door to the back garden. Outside is a terraced garden at the back with elevated decking with furniture and views, and another garden with table and chairs across the lane at the front of the cottage, plus parking for two cars. Within 200 yards of the village inns, Cherry Tree Cottage is a lovely place for a relaxing break in Devon.
Note: 5'10" ceiling in one place on stairs. Arrival after 4pm.

Beautiful cottage and little gardens. Noss Mayo is an escape from the hustle and bustle. If you like walking, bird watching or being on the water even better. My adult daughter and I loved it. Lovely places to visit, driving through lanes. Dartmoor NP not far. We loved returning ‘home’ to our cottage after a day out.

A delightful cozy cottage which was beautifully decorated by the owners for our Christmas week stay. One small issue was quickly addressed by them.
We would love a chance to stay again, perhaps in the summer to enjoy the secluded front garden or the small sun deck.

This is a beautiful house in lovely, peaceful Noss Mayo. It is full of character, yet extremely comfortable and warm; the gorgeous views across the creek helped us to relax into our holiday. We appreciated having a parking spot by the house and a superb pub only steps away. We were able to contact the housekeeper on a minor matter who was very helpful.
