A ten minute lane walk from Millbrook and from the big sandy beach at Whitsand Bay via a cliff path is Tregonhawke Farmhouse, the origins of which go back to the 16th cent.
It is set over two levels and has been a family home for generations surviving much turbulent history.
Enter from the garden through the porch, kicking off your coats and boots as you go into the big fitted farmhouse kitchen with table, chairs and benches in the middle; walk through to the equally big living room with wood burner and then across a slate-floored hall to a second sitting room with TV. This room leads through to a double bedroom with door to garden.
At ground level is a shower-room and separate toilet.
Head up the stairs to five more bedrooms a double with a single, a double, a twin with low door lintel, another twin, and a single all very individual and prettily done.
Two family bathrooms.
To one side is a very pretty, enclosed garden with large lawn, garden furniture and BBQ. Mature trees and farmland surround it and about a three minutes walk away there is a coarse fishing lake (carp, tench, roach, rudd, bream and perch some as large as 25lbs!). Absolutely great for large family group or groups of friends.

Please note: fishing at the lake is no longer included free of charge for guests and is now available to book in advance. To help preserve the space, we limit fishing to a maximum of five anglers per day, with no additional accompanying guests. A small fee of £10 per person, per day applies, with access between 08:00 and 18:00.
Guests staying at the farmhouse can enjoy a reduced rate, with 50% off fishing at our on-site coarse fishery. All bookings must be arranged and paid for in advance to secure your place. Please also be aware that once booked, fishing is non-refundable should you need to cancel.
Note: The 'Children's Room' listed on the floor plan is now a 2nd sitting/TV room.

A small but impactful change to enhance your stay: the second living room is being transformed into a stylish dining area, creating space for a central island in the kitchen. This upgrade makes the kitchen a more practical and sociable hub and perfect for preparing meals and entertaining larger groups.
You’ll still enjoy plenty of entertainment options, with a TV in the new dining area and the possibility of an additional TV in the kitchen.

I wonderful stay in Tregonhawke Farm House and many thanks for the Birthday treats for my wife's 70th. It would have been handy to have had the key for the downstairs bedroom's door to the garden as this was a designated fire escape, nonetheless, we had a great stay - Many Thanks

Beautful old farmhouse just a short distance from the coast (all be it via a rather steep path). Plenty of room for a large family gathering, and well equipped kitchen to feed everyone.
Only minor complaint, a second frying pan would be handy and as much fun as the plancher barbecue was to use, I think a standard set up would be more convenient.

We had a fantastic holiday and I couldn’t recommend the cottage enough. There were 12 of us in total and there was still ample of room.
We were lucky enough to enjoy the sunshine in the lovely garden and if you do your research there are lots of lovely places/villages to visit nearby
