This is a first and second floor apartment, one of two in a detached house in trees beside the river ¾ mile from the centre of Newton Ferrers.
Along a pretty and bumpy no through road, it is an idyllic spot for relaxation and enjoying the scenery.
From the shared garden path, head into the entrance hall where you can make sweet music on the piano.
From here, stairs take you up to the roomy open plan living space where you can watch the smart TV or gaze over the river view whilst you eat at the table.
On fine days, open the glass door to the balcony where the water shines through the oak trees.
You will find two of your bedrooms on this floor, or head up to the next level and two more bedrooms under the eaves with little glimpses of the river.
On this upper level is a lovely quiet sitting room for reading or watching TV. Head outside to your enclosed terrace at the back where you can fire up the barbecue and eat alfresco.
This is great walking country, with the National Trust woods on the doorstep or the Coast Path for admiring dramatic scenery and strolling the historic Lord Revelstoke’s carriage drive.
Sit out at a riverside inn in Newton Ferrers or Noss Mayo to watch the life on the river.
For more activity, try paddleboarding or wakeboarding, with equipment available to hire, hire a boat which you can moor outside the apartment, play tennis or go riding.
Mothecombe is a fabulous beach which stars in lots of movies, including Sense and Sensibility.

Galanda Treetops is a spacious first and second floor apartment in a detached house in woodland beside the River Yealm near the Devon village of Newton Ferrers. The apartment sleeps eight people in four bedrooms over two levels, three double and one twin with two bathrooms. On the second floor is a sitting/reading room and on the first floor is an open plan living space with seating area with gas fire, dining area with river view and a kitchen area. Outside is an enclosed terrace at the back with barbecue and outdoor seating and a mooring for a small dinghy. Just ¾ mile from the shops and pubs in the village, Galanda Treetops is a scenic holiday home for a relaxing break in Devon.

Beautiful house with lovely decorative touches situated directly on the River. Great for swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding. Woodland walks. Pubs and shops within walking distance. Perfect space for our family time, thankyou.

We found Galangal Treetops to be very well equipped and comfortable for our group of five adultsand two children.
Sara was helpful with local knowledge and telling us about crabbing off their jetty located across the road from the cottage. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved exploring the area.

This is a lovely property with fabulous views, in a tranquil spot. There is access to the river which we swam in, and if you walk further up the woodland path there is a really nice private spot to swim at the end. There are some lovely beaches in easy reach. The house is well equiped, and the owner is very helpful.
