Carpenters Cottage, a thoughtfully restored joiners workshop, sits on the edge of the glorious Lake District National Park, on the outskirts of the lovely market town of Cockermouth.
With astounding countryside, the coastline of Solway and a wealth of fascinating towns within easy distance to explore, this is a wonderful stay for a small family or a group of friends wishing to get away.
Feel instantly welcomed by the property's tasteful interior, it comes with unique reverse-level accommodation meaning that both the beautifully finished king-size and twin bedrooms are found on the ground floor.
Also on this level you will find an immaculate, brightly tiled bathroom offering the choice of a bath and a walk-in shower cubicle.
The living area thoughtfully rests on the first floor of the cottage as it makes the most of the natural light flooding in from the Velux windows.
Comforting and open-plan, this layout has all that you need from a fully-equipped and first class kitchen to a snug seating area for all to enjoy, plus attractive exposed beams bring a sense of charm to the place.

Carpenters Cottage is a reverse-level cottage on the outskirts of Cockermouth in Cumbria. Its two bedrooms include a king-size and a twin room, there is also a family bathroom, the property is able to sleep four guests. Also inside, discover its open-plan living area which comprises of a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area. To the outside it provides plenty of off-road parking and a private patio with furniture. Carpenters Cottage is a homely base from which you can explore the north west of the Lake District as well as the Solway Coast.

Such a beautiful cottage which leaves you wanting for nothing, perfectly furnished and set in a wonderful location for ease of access to all of the North Lakes and with Cockermouth town centre a 10 minute stroll where you have a great selection of cafes, restaurants, bars and boutique shops. Can't wait to re-book and stay there again.

This is our second visit to carpenters cottage and it was just as good as the first. It was very clean and warm and had everything we needed. There is a short walk to cockermouth through a lovely wooded area. The parking is great and the whole area is very quiet.
