Dairy Cottage is perfectly situated within the popular little Dartmoor town of Chagford, tucked away off the main street, yet just 300 yards from the wonderful selection of independent shops and welcoming pubs and cafes around the iconic town square.
Together with its stylishly designed interior, it provides a stunning base for enjoying the amenities and local walks without the need for a car. From the street, open the door into the enclosed cobbled courtyard which forms a lovely sun trap where you can sit and enjoy a drink or a meal around the table.
French windows take you into the generous open plan living space, a happy combination of traditional beams and modern comfort, with its original artwork, well designed kitchen area and smart TV and iPod dock for entertainment.
At the end of a busy day on Dartmoor, head up the oak stairs to bed in the two comfortable bedrooms, both with smart en suite.
If you feel like eating out, the town provides a surprisingly large range of welcoming pubs serving good food, and there are many more cosy inns to combine with long walks on riverbanks and across picturesque moorland.
Chagford’s shops are fascinating, full of tempting treats to browse and take home.
For those looking for activity, there are town tennis courts, a children’s play park and a fabulous seasonal lido which is famous for its fresh water.
Footpaths radiate in all directions from the town.
For the bright lights, Exeter is within an easy drive.
Dairy Cottage is a welcoming destination with much to discover.
