Japonica Cottage is a delightful country cottage based in Bourton on the Water, Gloucestershire.
Set in a row of five cottages, this charming holiday home is the ideal property for small families.
The interior is very welcoming, with the living room boasting a fireplace and exposed beams makes a divine spot for relaxation, with a dining area for foody get-togethers and patio doors opening onto the garden.
With the conservatory boasting a lovely stone wall and a dining area, where you can enjoy quality family time.
With the kitchen offering modern fitted units and sleek worktops with an attractive tiled design.
The first floor is home to a double bedroom and the second floor has a twin, with a range of wooden furniture to house all your personal items.
To the rear is a shared patio area with a table and chairs provided, and is a real sun trap! With a separate lawned garden and the nearby River Windrush.
In the nearby attraction of The Dragonfly Maze, your little ones can get involved with this garden maze with its puzzle holding 14 fun-filled hidden clues to work out - both parents and kids can get involved.

Japonica Cottage is a Cotswold cottage situated in Bourton on the Water, Gloucestershire. The cottage is presented in a cosy and charming style, with spacious rooms and contemporary furnishings. Internally there is a living room with a wood burning effect electric fire, a fitted kitchen and a conservatory with a dining area. Upstairs has one double bedroom and one twin bedroom with a separate bathroom and WC. Off road parking is available. Japonica is ideal for a couple or a small family wanting a tour of the local area. Note: One well-behaved dog welcome.
Note: Second floor bedroom is accessed through the first floor bedroom via steep stairs, this may be unsuitable for those with limited mobility.
Please note the hand rail up the stairs is a rope type rail and the stairs are a spiral style, please see images.

Note: Please note a 4pm check in time is possible on Saturdays. The usual check in time on other days is 6pm, however guests are welcome to check if earlier arrivals may be possible although this cannot be guaranteed.

We’ve had a great week staying in Japonica Cottage. It’s the perfect base to explore lots of pretty Cotswold villages. The cottage is very comfortable, we didn’t want to leave!
A bonus for us was most of the pubs and restaurants in Bourton are very dog friendly!

We had a wonderful stay at Japonica cottage. It was extremely comfortable and clean and the location was perfect for exploring Bourton on the Water and the surrounding area. The private parking and garden area are an added bonus. We would highly recommend and hope to return.

We've stayed at this cottage several times and will continue to do so - absolutely love it here. Cottage is enjoyable both in the summer months but also in the winter ( especially around Christmas) . The location is absolutely amazing you're right in the centre of the most charming village.
