Sitting in the grounds of the owners' fabulous home the holiday cottage enjoys a beautiful location with fields and mature woodland surrounding, plus a garden which overlooks the River Coln.
Heavenly! 200 years old this old barn has been converted so as to retain the character and feel.
The old owl hole, original beams and loft remain, whilst central heating and the high standard of equipment ensure complete comfort whatever the season.
Country walks can begin from your doorstep and the centre of the village with its excellent pub (The New Inn) and village stores are only a five minute stroll.
This is a very popular cottage with many guests returning year after year - you will understand!

Mayfly Cottage is a detached, barn conversion located in Coln St Aldwyns, Gloucestershire. It sits within the grounds of the owners fabulous home and enjoys a beautiful location with fields and mature woodland in the surrounding areas. The property is 200 years old and has been renovated into a modern holiday cottage, while still retaining its original character. With the original old owl hole and exposed beams, the property has exquisite taste. Downstairs has an open-plan living room, fitted kitchen and dining area. It has one double bedroom and a ground floor, bathroom and WC. Outside has shared use of the owners garden with furniture, table tennis and crazy golf, with views overlooking the River Coln. Parking is available.

The Mayfly Cottage is a beautiful little place to be. Surrounded by a wonderful garden, in an peaceful area where you can have lovely walks.
Kate and David are great hosts. They helped us with our daytrip planning and it was fun to talk to them.

Loved the location, it’s situated within easy walking distance of two lovely villages in a really pretty setting.
The place is on the small side and is only suitable for a max of two people.
The hosts were great and we had everything we needed for our four night stay.

I am so grateful I found this hidden gem! It was absolutely perfect for what i needed. I loved the location and everything about this village of Coln st aldwyns. I got to cook most my meals in the kithen of cottage and i ate 2 delicious dinners at the New Inn just in walking distance. I look forward to returning.
