Dating from 1390, Bull Cottage is one of the oldest cottages in Burford.
This charming and unique Grade II* listed property is a local icon featuring in the Pevsner Architectural Guide for historical buildings in England.

Bull Cottage is a medieval cottage that can be found in Burford, Oxfordshire. The property dates back to the 14th century. A fine example of the era, it retains many of the original features which are still present to this day, including the arches, exposed beams, flagstone floors and fireplaces and are over 600 years old. They are missed with the modern furnishings to make this property as comfortable and homely as possible. Downstairs has an open-plan living room with a wood burning stove, dining area, as well as a fitted kitchen. Upstairs you will find a king-size bedroom, a superking bedroom (zip/link - can be made as 2 singles on request) and a twin bedroom. There is a ground and first floor shower room and WC. There is a courtyard garden area to the rear of the property with a bench and a table and chairs. Roadside parking is available. Bull Cottage is in the perfect place to stay in order to access many of Burford’s finest sights. Note: Please make bed requests 2 weeks prior.

Second time we have stayed at Bull Cottage. We brought some American friends with us to show them the Cotswolds. They were in awe of Bull Cottage, Burford and the Cotswolds. Love it. Great location, great historic house and easy to stay in. Thank you again.

We had a great time staying at Bull Cottage which was our Cotswold base for a special Birthday celebration and family reunion. The property is well laid out; plenty of cosy seating areas; comfy beds and great showers. Easy walk to all that Burford has to offer and great food at The Angel pub next door. Would highly recommend this property.

We loved everything with the cottage. Very convenient and the bedrooms were very spacious. The only negative is that the patio could do with a bit of pruning and tidying up but that’s a minor gripe from an otherwise great rental. Thanks!
