Built in the early 19th century, East Lodge is one of a pair of listed gate lodges which stand at the entrance to the West Park Estate(see also West Lodge ref. 988967). This charming bolthole has been completely refurbished and imaginatively extended to provide quirky and charming holiday accommodation which has been graded 4 stars and given a Gold Awarded by Visit England.
All the accommodation is at ground floor level for ease of access.
Step inside ad you'll find light filled, octagonal shaped rooms, combining stylish decor and furnishings with top-notch, contemporary kitchen and bathroom fittings.

The lodges at West Park are situated at one end of the picturesque ancient village of Rockbourne. A walk through the village takes you past many thatched brick and timber cottages alongside the bourne (stream). The Rose and Thistle pub is at the other end , a stroll back could include a visit to the 11th/12th century church of Saint Andrew with its flint structure ans tiled roof. The famous Rockbourne Roman Villa is a short walk away from the lodges.

PLEASE NOTE: Changeover days are FRIDAYS and MONDAYS, For any other days, please enquire. Note: This property only accepts minimum 3 night stays. East Lodge is a detached gate house situated in Rockbourne, Hampshire. It has one king-size room, which can sleep two people and a separate bathroom. It has an open plan living room, fitted kitchen and dining area. The owner will arrange homemade meals, a breakfast hamper and delivery of local produce upon request. Outside you will find a paved courtyard with an enclosed garden and furniture. There is off road parking available. East Lodge is ideal for a romantic retreat. One well behaved welcome. PLEASE NOTE: This property has a Good Housekeeping Bond of £100.
Property unsuitable for young children, babies are welcome.

East Lodge is a cosy, comfortable cottage where the owners have thought of everything to make your stay perfect.
From the homemade cream tea to the hamper of accessories for the dogs.
We will definitely be going back to this wonderful little retreat.

Great area to explore with our dog with Cranborne Chase on one side and New Forest on the other and Rockbourne in the middle.

A cosy and very well equipped cottage with plenty of character. The only downside was the bed. It had strange ridge in the middle, and felt lumpy which was not helped by the very prominent wires of the electric blanket which was completely unnecessary as the lodge was very warm. New mattress definitely called for!
