Conveniently situated in the centre of Kirkby Stephen, with its beautiful stone exterior, is Bay Leaf Cottage.
With rolling fellsides behind, and the ‘Cathedral of the Dales’ nearby, the cottage is a lovely country retreat.
This semi-detached cottage boasts a fabulous layout inside, with two sitting rooms and a large, bright kitchen/diner sweeping across the ground floor to form a flowing open-plan living space. This quality getaway retains many of its original features and added character, with window seats, exposed stone and beams, alcoves and flagstone flooring.
From the entrance hall, into the first lounge to the left, behold the stylish choice of furniture inviting you to relax and unwind. Wander through to the open, spacious kitchen, which boasts a large dining area and considered lighting, uplifting a modern choice of fittings.
Use the cosy snug room for watching TV with the family and play your favourite tunes from the sound bar. Enjoy the choice of DVDs and games available for you to use. Take the stairs to the landing, where three bedrooms have been thoughtfully put together, with luxurious bedding and ample storage space. The spacious master bedroom overlooks the stunning gardens across from the front of the cottage; sit and enjoy the views from the comfortable armchair.

Bay Leaf Cottage is a beautiful semi-detached cottage nestled in the centre of Kirkby Stephen, in Cumbria. It boasts three bedrooms; a king-size double and two doubles, sleeping six altogether. There is also a sofa bed in the second sitting room for a seventh guest, as well as a bathroom with a sauna, a first floor cloakroom, kitchen/diner and two sitting rooms. To the exterior is free parking across the road and to the rear of property, bike storage and an enclosed, walled garden with private seating area. Bay Leaf Cottage is a charming retreat, perfect for touring the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks.

We stayed in Kirkby Stephens for two weeks while holidaying in the UK. A beautiful little town but not a lot was open during the Christmas period.
