Located in the idyllic popular coastal village of West Lulworth lies Forge Cottage, a picture postcard cottage, located right by the Jurassic coastline.
The property benefits from a warm farmhouse kitchen and comfortable sitting room.
With the inglenook fireplace and log burner, the sitting room is the ideal setting to unwind by the fire with an evening drink.
With traditional beams on show, Forge Cottage gives the feeling of character and charm.
The generous kitchen, diner is perfect for the family to enjoy a tasty meal together and sit at the table discussing the adventures of the day or for planning what to do next.
There is a shower room downstairs and on the upper floor there are three bedrooms and a bathroom. Lulworth Cove, world famous for its geologically unique and stunning cove is a five-minute walk from the property, the Dorset Coastal Path is just a stroll away.
Within the Local area you will find a restaurant and pubs too. Whether you want to enjoy a day at the beach where you can soak up the summer sun and coastal views or take a Jurassic Kayak Tour whilst on holiday, both are available and accessible.
For those keen ramblers, or a short drive away if walking is not for your, is the nearby Durdle Door, a large rock formation likened to a doorway, arising from the sea, is a must visit attraction; a popular beach offering snorkelling and cliff walks. If you want a day out the famous Monkey World, as seen on TV and The Tank Museum are both nearby and worth a visit.
Head west along the coast towards Weymouth and enjoy a day on the award winning blue flag beach with its golden sands and shallow waters or visit the high street and local quaint shops. After an exhausting day out return to Forge Cottage and enjoy enjoy eating alfresco in the garden or have a glass of something warming snuggled on the sofa in front of the log burner in the winter. Forge Cottage is a beautiful thatched cottage in the village of West Lulworth, close to the Dorset coast. The cottage has a wood-burning stove in the sitting room and a large fully fitted kitchen with dining area. The cottage has three bedrooms, 1 x double, 1 x twin and 1 x single. There is a shower room on the ground floor and a family bathroom on first floor. To the rear of the property is a lawned garden with furniture and off road parking for two cars. Forge Cottage in West Lulworth is perfect for your family holiday, close to Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. Note: Owner will only accept a Friday check in. Please Note: Between 1st May - 1st October minimum 7 night stays only. Note: Off road parking bay measures 3m x 5m depth. Haven't self catered for a few years but found this an enjoyable experience.
Accommodation was excellent, very homely with good large kitchen with extensive supply of utensils. Bedrooms and bathrooms good with plenty of drawers etc.
Minor flaw in that the ground floor bathroom was difficult to lock and blind fixing required attention.

Forge Cottage was wonderful. We were a part of 5 adults and the cottage was exceptional in its comfort - and we really appreciated the Christmas tree and lights. The log fire was great and added to the atmosphere. The kitchen, in particular, was excellent and perfect for big family dinners. Overall, Forge Cottage was brilliant and we woulds happily return.

The cottage was better than we expected. We had a wonderful family time. The new shower needed re-setting and this was done within 2 hours - thank you Amber and Mark. It is a lovely home from home and we all have memories to treasure.
