Situated on Borth y Gest's pretty harbour, Plas Mor is an idyllic holiday house with stunning views across the estuary to Cnicht, the mountain known as the Welsh Matterhorn.
When renovating this cottage, the owners went to great lengths to ensure that it meets their own requirements for a holiday home, and they have chosen high quality furnishings to complement the spacious and bright interior. The entrance hall has plenty of space for coats and boots. With a pretty bay window and original stripped floorboards, the lovely open plan sitting room is a blend of old and new. The deep, comfy sofas make this a great place for relaxing. An oriel window in the kitchen gives fantastic views across the bay. The kitchen is well equipped with gas hob, double oven, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, washer/dryer and microwave.
It is furnished with a dining table and chairs.
There is even a birdwatcher's spotter scope for you to enjoy the views and watch the wildlife. There is a downstairs loo with a superb view! Upstairs are two bedrooms.
The first is a double room furnished in a chic New England style to complement its view across the bay. This room has an en-suite shower room with loo, wash basin and a little window overlooking the sea. The second bedroom is a large twin-bedded room. There is a large luxury bathroom with walk-in shower and old fashioned fittings, a loo, wash basin and double-ended roll-top bath. The small garden is adjacent to the harbour.
It is a lovely place to sit and relax. There is no allocated parking but there is a car park nearby. Borth y Gest has a popular restaurant and cafe, both with stunning views.
Within walking distance are several beautiful sandy coves which lead to the gorgeous Black Rock Sands beach.
This is also a great location from which to explore Snowdonia, or you could visit Portmeirion and ride on the Welsh Highland Railway.

This property was fantastic because it was clean, in a peaceful location, garden was lovely though the hedges could be clipped for a clearer view. The house was spacious and clean though the rope handrail on the stairs was an issue for those with mobility issues.
Overall, it was a wonderful break away.

Despite it being near the end of the season the house was very clean, although there were a few minor maintenance issues. A number of cottages we've stayed at have absolutely reeked of air freshener, so it was such a relief to find no trace of these at Plas Mor. Stunning views from the house, which is well situated for great walks.

We have had the best possible holiday at Plas Mor. It is a fantastic holiday house and we have already booked for next year. We love the nautical theme of the decorations. I did find the shower floor a bit slippery so an additional mat would be helpful. Thank you.
