Monk's Cottage is a lovely semi-detached stone cottage located in Buxton, Derbyshire.
The kitchen is wonderfully appointed at the front of the property, with its pristine white units and black granite worktops, you are guaranteed to be inspired for some home cooking.
To the side of the kitchen, step into the spacious conservatory which overlooks both the front and rear garden and is a real sun trap! To the other side of the kitchen is the lounge area, which has a large corner sofa, ideal for curling up in front of the TV after a long day sightseeing.
The woodburning stove is a welcome addition, especially during those winter months.
Upstairs you will find two bedrooms; one double and one king-size with zip and link beds to suit all types of people.
The twin bedroom has a wealth of character with its exposed beams, and the master bedroom with its built-in wardrobes which expand across one whole wall.
The family bathroom has high-quality fittings with a lovely bath and shower over.
Outside there is a shared front garden and patio area with furniture provided.
Or, for some privacy, you can enjoy the rear patio area which also hosts a luxurious hot tub. While you stay in Buxton, why not take a trip to some of its most popular attractions? Poole's Cavern is a two million-year-old limestone cave with lights installed inside and bridges for the public to enjoy the magnificent views.
The grounds also have a park with picnic areas and woodland trails for active walkers and sightseers.
There is something for everyone here! For a taste of history, visit St Anne's Well, which can be used by the public to refill their water bottles as the permanent flow is mineral water.
Previous to this, it was once a Pilgrim shrine, but has been dedicated to St. Anne since medieval times.
The Green Man Gallery is also an excellent destination as it exhibits and sells work by designer makers, which includes ceramics, jewelry, hand-carved wooden items and a variety of glass, textiles and artist books.
With monthly events to entice all kinds of people, this is something you don't want to miss.

We have just come back from a few days at Monks Cottage after having a wonderful time. It was like a home from home everything you need so comfy and such a beautiful setting, neighbours were very friendly Molly our dog loved playing with their dogs.
Would recommend staying there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Monks Cottage, clean spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen. Comfy bedrooms and just a really nice vibe about the place.
20 minute easy walk into town centre, a great place to explore Buxton and the Peak District. We will absolutely return soon.

What a little Gem we loved our stay. Convenient for getting to a lot of places and Buxton was accessible on foot rather than having to drive. The cottage had everything we needed and it felt home from home so we thank you.
Would certainly use again if we come back to the area.
