A 15 minute drive takes you past the Windermere Golf Club to bustling Bowness village on Lake Windermere's eastern shore, where you'll find sophisticated shops, endless boating activities, Lake District family attractions such as the World of Beatrix Potter, and a range of options for evening entertainment.
From traditional Lakeland pubs to trendy tapas bars, cinema, theatre and nightclub, there's something for every taste. From Bowness Bay, you can hop on a Windermere Lake Cruise to Ambleside or Lakeside - a great way to explore while soaking up the scenery.

Location and tranquillity
I'd say the living room kitchen area prob in need of minor redecoration but it didn't detract from our overall enjoyment of the property

The fire extinguisher was manufactured in 1982. photo available. Review date for fire procedures to be reviewed December 2009.VRBO charged a rate for the cottage and then I had to pay extra via the Sykes site. Didn't get a solution after eventually figuring out how to contact VRBO. Don't know which of the providers to trust.

Thank you very much it suited us very well. Our dogs enjoyed all the walks around the area. Lovely locals and good food near by.It was a lovely quite private property with all the mod cons. Having lovely weather while there helped. Within easy reach of lovely houses,walks,lakes and the most beautiful scenery. Again thank you.
