Rose Cottage is a delightful, single-storey, Grade II listed cottage resting in Akeld, Northumberland. Hosting one king-size bedroom which also has a zip/link feature which can be swapped to two singles, along with a bathroom, this property can sleep up to two guests. Bed linen and towels included in rent. There is also a kitchen and a living/dining room. Dogs welcome. Outside there is off-road parking and front and rear lawn gardens. Choose Rose Cottage for a peaceful trip to Northumberland. Note: This property does not accept Sunday check ins. Note: Bookings at this property must be a minimum of 2 nights. The Cheviot Goat pub is located on site and is available to guests subject to seasonal opening hours. PLEASE NOTE: The on-site swimming pool and sauna facilities will be open for guest use from 1 April 2026.
Use of the swimming pool and sauna is available for an additional charge and must be arranged directly with the owners prior to arrival.
From 1 April 2026 pool access is charged at £42 per adult per week with shorter stays charged on a pro-rata basis.
Children under the age of 14 are not charged for pool use
The swimming pool is unsupervised and used at guests’ own risk
Children under 16 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times and lone swimming is not permitted for anyone under 18

A full inspection of your accommodation will have been carried out prior to your stay; however, we ask all guests upon arrival to check the property; any areas of concern should be brought to our attention as soon as possible. It’s our wish that your stay with us should be just perfect.
Accidental damage/breakages do unfortunately happen, please report to us as soon as possible, but always prior to departure. We will assess the situation and aim to reach an amicable agreement; guests may be responsible for the cost of replacing them on a like for like basis (replacing with new items).
Please note: The bedroom features twin beds that can be joined to make a king-sized bed upon request. If you'd prefer the king setup, just let us know ahead of your stay — we’ll be happy to arrange this for you.

Was cosy, quiet, well equipped & comfortably. Able to get on footpaths into the hills right from the estate. Can pick up St Cuthbert’s Way not too far away. Bus service just on main road.Down side: the tv reception is not great & some stations were intermittent like BBC1!Poor shower arrangement, no ...
