Cozy 40 sqm apartment, for 4 people, located on the ground floor of a historic building with sea view (5 steps to enter).
The apartment is located in a "dammuso" (a Sicilian characteristic structure) facing the sea with barrel vaults, in the heart of Ortigia (Traffic-Restricted Area), the wonderful historic center of Syracuse. The accommodation consists of a living area, a kitchenette, a bedroom and a bathroom. *Airport taxi service from/to Catania Airport available upon request* IDENTIFICATION CODE: 19089017C232063 NATIONAL CODE: IT089017C2DPIG2SBH The space is organized as follows: - LIVING ROOM with dining table and double sofa bed; - KITCHENETTE with induction hob (4 plates), small refrigerator with freezer, moka, kettle, wine glasses and kitchenware; - BEDROOM with double bed, chest of drawers, armchair and area with a large wardrobe; - BATHROOM with shower (slightly raised), sink, bidet and toilet. FURTHER SERVICES AVAILABLE TO GUESTS: unlimited wifi, air conditioning with heat pump (split in the living room), safe, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and drying rack. Baby cot and high chair available on request and upon reservation. PLEASE NOTE: there are 5 steps to access the apartment and some internal steps (to access the living room and to access the area with the wardrobe). The apartmet is for the exclusive use of our guests and won't be shared with the host or other tenants. To ensure the security of your personal data, 7 days before your arrival you will receive instructions to register your documents via our Guest Portal and to pay the tourist tax (4% of the cost of the stay up to a maximum of €5.00 per person per night of stay, up to a maximum of 7 nights). We need such procedure to verify your ids and docs and in order to send info to the police service "Alloggiati Web" which is Italian procedure to host guest in italy. You can find all the information on the official website alloggiatiweb.poliziadistato Switching on and off air conditioning and heating is subject to compliance with current Italian legislation (DPR 16/04/2013 n.74, DM 6/10/2022 n.383). Summer: the average air temperature must not get below 26°C (78,8 °F) for all kinds of buildings. Winter: the weighted average of the air temperatures must not exceed 19°C (66,2 °F).
Time and period of operation depend on the climatic zone defined by the standard. Syracuse Climatic Zone B: 7 hours a day from December 8th to March 23rd. Check-in will take place in online self check-in mode, completing registration is MANDATORY in order to receive instructions on how to collect the keys and access the apartment. Keys can be collected free of charge via on-site keybox. In case of problems, telephone assistance will be guaranteed until 10pm. If you wish to receive the keys from a member of our staff in the apartment, it is possible, upon request with payment of a supplement equal to: - From 15:00 to 21:00: EUR 15.00; - From 21:00 to 23:00: EUR 25.00. The apartment is located in the heart of the wonderful island of Ortigia, on the Eastern seafront: a few steps from tthe accomodation there is the access (via stairs) to the solarium of Forte Vigliena, the only solarium with free admission for the summer season in the historic center of Ortigia in Syracuse. Walking through the streets of the island, it is possible to admire centuries of history, splendid palaces, lively trattorias and cafes, as well as other monuments such as the Castle of Maniace, the Temple of Apollo, the Fonte Aretusa and the Piazza del Duomo. In the area it is possible to find many other services such as a bank, a post office, a minimarket, restaurants, bars, shops and much more. Main points of interest: - Forte Vigliena (solarium): 1 minute on foot; - Fonte Aretusa: 5 minutes on foot; - Piazza Duomo / Temple of Athena: 7 minutes on foot; - Castle of Maniace: 10 minutes on foot; - Temple of Apollo: 11 minutes on foot. - Le Cafè du Roi - Ortigia (bar): 1 minute on foot - 30 meters; - aLevante (typical cuisine restaurant): 1 minute on foot - 40 meters; - InCoop (supermarket): 8 minutes on foot - 700 meters. Near the apartment, it is possible to find the electric minibus stop (one run every 30 minutes, from 8:00 to 20:00, one-way price of 1 euro) which will allow you to comfortably reach some of the main points of interest in the city in the summer season: - The Sanctuary of the Madonnina delle Lacrime; - The Paolo Orsi museum; - The Archaeological Park of Neapolis; - The Fonte Aretusa; - The Castle of Maniace; - The bus and train station. The main towns of Sicily can be reached by Interbus coaches from the central station (via Rubino), where the shuttles to Catania-Fontanarossa airport also depart (approximately 1 hour journey). - FROM CATANIA AIRPORT: it is possible to reach the apartment by taking the ALIBUS bus service that connects Catania airport to Catania Central Station, where it is possible to take the regional train to Syracuse station, 25 minutes on foot from the property. Alternatively, it is possible to reach the apartment from the airport by taking Interbus bus, up to Syracuse Station. ***Airport shuttle service from Catania Airport available upon request*** - FROM SYRACUSE STATION: it is possible to reach the apartment on foot in about 25 minutes. - IF YOU ARE TRAVELING BY CAR: The nearest car park is 900m away from the apartment and is called “Talete”.

Loved this property! Perfect location and cool/interesting architectural structure. Thoroughly enjoyed Ortiga and Syracuse. Many Electrical outlets did not work. There was no light in the kitchen. Signing in was difficult due to the internet links
