Settled on the outskirts of Richmond, Swaledale, near Easby Hall and Abbey is this charming, end terrace holiday home of Easby Cottage.
Dating back to the early 18th Century, Easby Cottage boasts charm and character throughout, making for a wonderful base for a family of six's getaway to this part of Yorkshire.
Four handy off-road spaces greet you on arrival, before soaking up the delightful surroundings and exterior of the abode.
Make your way inside to be welcomed by an entrance room, where you can hang up your coats and take off your boots.
Progress to the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner, where a toasty AGA range can be found, along with everything you need to fix up mouthwatering meals, including a spacious larder.
Once these meals have been made, enjoy them as a light bite at the space's dining table, or take them through to the formal dining room for a sit-down affair below the rustic, exposed beams.
After dinner, make your way into one of the sitting rooms; in the snug, you can enjoy the warm glow of a woodburning stove, along with further exposed beams and a selection of books and games to keep you occupied.
Move across the parquet flooring and into another welcoming sitting room, where vaulted ceilings and velux windows give the space a light and convivial feel, making for the perfect area for you to enjoy quality time with the family; a TV and another woodburning stove can be located here.
As the day winds to a close, make your way into the utility, where you can throw any old clothing into the washing machine, before freshening up in the nearby cloakroom.
When sleep calls, catch your rest in one of the three fabulous bedrooms, with the first of these being a ground-floor double enjoying ample storage and French doors giving direct access to the garden.
Climb the stairs to find the latter two bedrooms, a double and a twin, both of which enjoy basins and iron bedframes, whilst the twin boasts access to an en-suite shower room.
Further along the landing lies the spacious bathroom, where both a bath and a walk-in shower can be found.
A highlight of the property has to be its garden, a spot enjoying luscious lawns for your canine companion to rest on whilst you enjoy some alfresco dining on the seating.
Get to know your surroundings by exploring the adjacent ruins of Easby Abbey, before embarking on the public footpath along the River Swale to the heart of Richmond, where Richmond Castle, the River Swale waterfall and the marvellous Station attraction await.
The Station offers three cinemas reachable via a scenic walking route from Easby Cottage, along with a beautifully restored Georgian Theatre and a range of Festivals, such as the famous Swaledale Arts Festival and the Walking and Book Festival.
Richmond has a range of interesting museums, such as The Green Howards Museum and the Richmondshire Museum, plus a Golf Course and swimming pool; something to suit all tastes and ages! Richmond is the gateway to Swaledale and other beautiful northern Dales in the National Park such as Wensleydale and Coverdale.
The Yorkshire Dales are full of beautiful villages, such as Reeth, Gunnerside and Hawes, which make for perfect days out; find a full range of scenic walks to suit all levels of fitness, intersecting with the Coast to Coast route, the Pennine Way and the Dales Way.
You'll find a range of walking maps stored in the cottage and space for secure bike storage, with the Dales being perfect for cycling holidays; Swaledale even hosted the Grand Départ of the Tour de France! Spend the day in Barnard Castle, where the renowned ruins of the castle itself are waiting to be uncovered, along with the iconic Bowes Museum and Barnard Castle Golf Club.
The delights of Northallerton and Darlington also aren't far, whilst the North York Moors National Park is within reach and offers even more outdoor activities.
