Nestled among the hills on the outskirts of Llangollen is Cam O’r Fechan Annexe.
This wonderful single-storey holiday home boasts handy off-road parking, a position on the outskirts of the idyllic town of Llangollen, an open-plan living space and a spacious double bedroom, perfect for couples seeking a romantic retreat in North Wales.
When you arrive, make the most of the plush sofa to relax on after your long journey, or freshen up in the spacious shower before settling down for a good meal in the well-equipped kitchen.
If the sun is shining, pop open a bottle of fizz and take in the rays in your private garden, perhaps eating al fresco, or just taking in the dramatic scenery from one of the sun loungers.
And when you’ve shaken off the dust of your journey, there are plenty of places to go and see. Wrexham Football Club’s Racecourse ground is only a 25-minute drive away.
Or if football is not your thing, then try a ride across the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, the star of the Unesco World Heritage site; and if the idea of boating across the Stream in the Sky is too adventurous, there are plenty of things to do within walking distance.
Visit Plas Newydd, where the Ladies of Llangollen settled after eloping from Ireland, or Castell Dinas Bran, one of Owain Glyndwr’s fortifications.
Or go a bit further afield and see Valle Crucis Abbey and the beginning of the Llangollen Canal at the Horseshoe Falls.
Make the most of the fabulous scenery on foot or on a bicycle, or if you're really adventurous, canoe down the River Dee. If you're a fan of motorbikes, be sure to check out the Llangollen Motor Museum and, of course, no trip to Llangollen would be complete without crossing the iconic Llangollen Bridge.
Further afield, Betwys y Coed in Snowdonia, and National Trust properties Chirk Castle and Erddig Hall are also worth a trip.
The charming town of Shrewsbury and the exciting cities of Chester and Liverpool are perfect for a day out, which can be reached by car or public transport, so there's plenty to do. After a day exploring, refuel at one of the town's excellent restaurants, such as The Corn Mill or The Three Eagles.

The living areas in this single-storey annexe consist of an open-plan living space with kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge, a dining area with breakfast bar for two and a sitting area with TV. There is one double bedroom with en-suite walk-in shower with basin and WC. Outside there is a private, enclosed side garden with furniture and off-road parking for one car. Within 0.6 miles there is a shop and pub. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Cam O'r Fechan Annexe is a wonderful setting for a romantic getaway to Llangollen. Note: This property does not have a freezer. Note: There is a step up in the garden, please take care. Note: Owners have land and stables, they may let guests bring a horse.

We had a lovely 3 night stay in the Annex, which was spotlessly clean, comfortable, well equipped and in a perfect location. Hillary and Peter were very friendly & welcoming. Will definitely stay again in the future.
