As you come up the drive you will spot some furry neighbours which love to be visited during your stay. A short walk into the nearest town of Bakewell where the river Derwent passes through making for a tranquil town stroll.
You are a short drive from Chatsworth House where you can take in a historic experience learning about the house, the family and the blooming gardens that surround it. You are spoilt for choice with walks and trails, closely by is the Monsal Head trail or further afield is Tissington plus many many more, and if you don’t fancy taking the car out, there is plenty to explore from the doorstep. Nearby are village pubs in Monyash, both offering tasty homemade meals and local ales.

We had a lovely short break in Bakewell staying here. Nice converted barn on a farm, with cows and chickens nearby. Eggs from the farm hens for breakfast. Good size - bedrooms nice and big. Great location for Bakewell and close to Hassop Station on the Monsall trail. We walked with our dog from the farm accommodation into Bakewell mostly on footpaths. Plenty of room in the accommodation for us as three adults. A bit tired but well equipped. Secure ( shared ) garden for dogs. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We stay regularly in cottages/barns but Hadden only provided absolute minimum compared with others. No greeting of any kind, no visitor book, no moveable coffee table (mugs on floor), no stool in bathroom (clothes on toilet lid). Worst point: beds were rock hard. Best point: large TV screen, good parking and excellent location. Needs reviewing and more provided to make more comfortable.
