Casa Darsena is a wonderful two-room apartment with large spaces and ceilings decorated with depictions of angels and cherubs, on the first floor. Both the living room and the master bedroom are painted and composed of pastel-coloured furnishings, giving the room a special feeling of well-being. The living area is a bright open space with a living room and a brand new kitchen and dining table in light wood. From the balcony it is possible to admire the dock and the beauty of the island of Ortigia; moreover, a beautiful light enters from the outside, enveloping the space, which is decorated, among other things, with plants and design objects including the chandelier. The bedroom is also very bright and spacious, with a double bed, small tables with abat-jour and a beautiful carpet with armchair and mirror. Not to be forgotten are the floors decorated with motifs that recall the frescoes above, in the bedroom as well as in the living room. Finally, the bathroom for guests is equipped with a shower and everything they need.

The flat has TV, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and heating to ensure a pleasant stay in both summer and winter.

Casa Darsena enjoys an excellent location, at the entrance to the island, convenient for unloading luggage and only 50 metres from the Talete car park. For lovers of relaxation and the sea, eastern Sicily and the area surrounding Syracuse offer everything one could wish for. Starting from the ancient Greek city and heading south, the best equipped and most beautiful beaches to explore are Minareto, Fanusa, Arenella and Fontane Bianche, whose name derives from the natural freshwater springs and the particular white colour of the sand. On the island of Ortigia, you will also find equipped solariums (Zefiro and Nettuno) and a small free beach called Cala Rossa. Further south, some 30 km away, we find beautiful unspoilt and impervious beaches, including Calamosche, Vendicari with its Natural Fauna Oasis and the beautiful San Lorenzo. For culture enthusiasts, the Greek theatre of Syracuse and the entire archaeological park with the Ear of Dionysius, a cave carved into the limestone in the shape of a human ear, the Paolo Orsi museum, and the Latomie dei Cappuccini, as well as Ortigia itself with its historical and cultural beauty as well as its landscape, are definitely worth a visit. Not to be overlooked are Noto, the seafront with the tuna fishery of Avola, and finally the seaside village of Marzamemi. In short, Sicily is a land to be explored and its natural and cultural beauties are treasures to fill your eyes with.


The airport of Catania Fontanarossa is about 60 km away, that of Comiso Pio la Torre 110 km. The Syracuse train station is very close to the bus terminal from the airport and a 10-minute walk from Ortigia.
