From the doorstep of Rowan Cottage there are walking trails aplenty, enjoy a picnic by pretty Easedale Tarn or climb Helm Crag for spectacular views across Grasmere and beyond. By car or bus you can easily reach the popular Lakeland towns of Ambleside, Windermere and Keswick. For the perfect self-catering retreat in an idyllic setting head to Rowan Cottage.

A fabulous location quiet and peaceful but just 5 mins walk to the village and the co op shop. The cottage was extremely well equipped for cooking family meals and being all on one level was perfect for my elderly parents. We only had a few days available so being able to book for a few days stay in August was brilliant. Loved everything about our stay in this beautiful cottage.
