Set within minutes of the outstanding Saunton Sands, and boasting a beautiful design, you’ll have your own hot tub for indulgent soaks, and a lovely deck for alfresco dining. Inside there’s a modern open plan living / kitchen and dining area which accesses outside through large bifold doors, and a sumptuous en-suite master bedroom with king size bed and garden views.
Guests with dogs can savour long walks on one of Devon’s best beaches at the fabulous Saunton Sands, an idyllic 3-mile stretch of stunning golden sand, backed by the UNESCO-protected Braunton Burrows Biosphere Reserve before grabbing a bite to eat at the fabulous dog-friendly Beachside Grill. Nearby, the South West Coast Path picks up part of the Tarka Trail along the estuary of the River Taw (part of North Devon’s Biosphere Reserve) which is an easy level route for walkers, passing through marshland and nature reserves that teem with wildlife before ending in the village of Instow.
Croftner is the first lodge on the right as you enter the orchard, Middle Thorne is the middle lodge of the three on the right side of the site, and Hayditch is at the top of the orchard, last on the right side.

This is our second visit and was just as amazing as our first! Perfect location for exploring Devon. Facilities in the lodge are fantastic, attention to detail throughout stunning. Sarah was lovely very welcoming and always around if you need anything. We class this as our second home ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Recently stayed at Great Fields lodges for the second time and we're not disappointed. Fabulous lodges, good location and brilliant host. Can't fault the property, superbly appointed with plenty of space inside and out. Hot tub protected by the elements just in case. Everything appears to have been considered for your comfort. Will be back in 2026

My partner and I had a fabulous winter break with our little dog. The hot tub was warm and clean, the lodge was beautiful and immaculate, the garden was fully enclosed so we didn’t have to worry about the dog, and we were just a short drive from the beach and local restaurants and takeaways. It was a wonderful, great value, stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to return - thank you so much.
