If you’re looking for a rental with sea views, Tall Ship is the property for you! The townhouse has three bedrooms (two doubles and a twin) and two bathrooms, sleeping up to six guests — the perfect size for larger families or groups of friends holidaying together.
Tall Ship boasts a lovely location.
From the top three floors, there are beautiful vistas out over Billow Ness and Anstruther’s historic harbour across to the Isle of May and Firth of Forth, and the property is walking distance from the award-winning Anstruther Fish Bar, the local corner shop, and the Co-op. Free street parking is available a few minutes’ walk away from the property.
At low tide, you can even cross over onto the esplanade via a series of stepping stones.
The property has a lovely open plan living area with a well-equipped, Shaker-style kitchen (kitted out with a microwave, oven, gas hob, washing machine, dryer, and a dishwasher), a dining table that extends to sit six, a television, and a small reading nook with comfy sofas and warm blankets — a great space for informal family suppers and cosy film nights after busy days out at the beach.
The property is oozing with character and charm: we love the woodburning stove, exposed brickwork, wooden floors, and stained glass windows! The family bathroom has a large bath that’s perfect for long, luxurious soaks and a separate shower.
There’s a second shower in the en suite, on the ground floor.
Linen, towels, and hairdryers are provided for your convenience, and pets are also allowed at the property.
Welcome pack including tea, coffee, sugar, milk ,and toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap are provided . Recent guests remarked that “the views are to die for”, that the property was “very well equipped”, “clean, comfortable, and spacious” and “comfy with lots of character” — we couldn’t sum up the townhouse better ourselves! Whilst staying at Tall Ship, you’ll be able to make the most of the attractions and amenities in Anstruther.
Take a boat trip out to the Isle of May which is home to around 200,000 seabirds including a large puffin colony, as well as lighthouses and the ruins of an old priory — it’s a nature lover’s paradise! For history buffs, there’s the Scottish Fisheries Museum and Scotland’s Secret Bunker, and for adventurous adults and kids there’s a wide range of activities on offer at East Neuk Outdoors including bushcraft, open canoeing, snorkelling, and archery.
In addition, the property is just a short drive from the cosmopolitan university town of St Andrews which has a fantastic array of restaurants, museums, and beautiful beaches, and the other fishing villages in the East Neuk are easily accessible, too, by car, bus, or the coastal path.
You will be spoilt for choice when deciding which attractions and activities to include in your daily itinerary!

In need of a full refresh. The stair carpet was dirty and there were damp patches on some of the ceilings. Living area was cramped and not really comfortable for six adults. The kitchen was well equipped but again when using the dining area it was cramped. On the plus side we had great weather and the venue was central

Very convenient location for walking around Anstruther. Parking was not great but available a short distance away along the street. It took two days to get WiFi because the equipment was changed and the login information was not. Lots of stairs in the unit. Convenient to restaurants and bars.
Lots of Stairs

This would be a great place for a family with older kids (ages 6+) to stay (no toddlers managing the multitude of narrow stairs). It is close to Wee Chippy (great fish and chips) and the harbor. It is an easy three or four block walk to the Coop for groceries. There are lots of stairs in the unit ...
