Pinemarten is located on the Portnellan Estate and offers tasteful and luxurious self catering accommodation sleeping up to 4 people within 2 bedrooms, 2 bathroom and open plan living, dining and kitchen area.
Situated in the heart of the central Highlands of Scotland with spectacular loch, glen and mountain views all around Pinemarten's setting is magnificent where a true highland landscape awaits you and it is often complimented on the abundance of bird and wild life that can be regularly seen.
It is not unusual to see the deer meandering off the hill and passing nearby the property.
Pinemarten has recently been refurbished throughout.
The bedroom configuration is a king sized double with ensuite shower room and a twin bedroom and bathroom with bath and overhead shower.
A fitted kitchen with all mod cons to include washing machine, separate tumble dryer, dishwasher, double oven and ceramic hob, microwave and under counter fridge with freezer compartment.
An open plan living area leads onto a private balcony with a panoramic view of Loch Iubhair (pronounced Ewar) and the dramatic rugged mountains of Glen Dochart.
All can be viewed from the garden furniture provided.
Gaze the other direction and marvel at the iconic mountain of Ben More that rises from your back garden.
Simply stunning.
The lodge is equipped with a LCD TV with SKY package, Blu Ray DVD, Wi-Fi is available free of charge.
There is even an onsite visitor centre with a small essentials shop, fresh organic meat from a farm locally for sale (perfect for a BBQ or home cooking), local information, a varied selection of board games and DVDs.
The Portnellan Estate has been privately owned by the same family for nearly 40 years and offers fantastic facilities including fresh run wild salmon and trout fishing on the estate lochs and river, plenty of trails for on and off road biking, a games room with table tennis, table football, pool table and a small gym. Kayaks and rowing boats are free to use on the river and loch and EV trickle charging at the lodge.
New for 2025 is our brand new 'BBQ hutte' which can be hired exclusively to enjoy a real flame BBQ with friends and family and our outdoor sauna which can also be hired.
Portnellan Estate is the perfect base for exploring Central/West Scotland with known landmarks only a short distance away.
Oban 45 minutes, Stirling, Fort William and Glasgow just over 1 hour and Edinburgh a 90 min drive.
Glen Coe and all it beholds is less than 40 mins drive and the bonnie shores of Loch Lomond are 20 mins by car. Other areas include the truly beautiful Glen Lyon and Loch Tay, Glen Etive, Glen Lochay and Glen Orchy all within the local area.

Breathtaking scenery, cosy comfort in a relaxing hideaway.

This superior lodge is set in the most relaxing countryside with mountain vistas on every side. We enjoyed watching the weather change by the hour and birds at the bird-feeders from our spacious lounge. We even spotted a woodpecker. It’s the perfect base for a walking holiday and restful restoration in the evening watching the sun set over the hills.
