Capercallie is one of two 4 star, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom holiday properties on the Portnellan Estate that can sleep up to 8 people.
With a spacious recently refurbished open plan kitchen and dining area with breakfast bar the property benefits from a large social area.
French doors lead to the living room and a large sliding door leading to a private patio with garden furniture offering unrestricted views over Loch Dochart, Glen Dochart, the famous Ben More and the surrounding mountains.
A truly magnificent Highland setting and a view that will be hard to beat from a self catering holiday property in Scotland.
With all the comforts from home (and more) the Capercaillie is equipped to a high 4 star standard with recently having installed a brand new fitted kitchen, silk curtains throughout and wood effect flooring in the living areas downstairs.
Upstairs there is a king size double bed in the master bedroom with ensuite shower room with a commanding view across Glen Dochart. 2 further upstairs double bedrooms with family bathroom.
Downstairs there is a further twin bedroom with large single beds and ensuite wet room room with power shower. 4 star treats include soft Egyptian cotton bed linen.
We pride ourselves on the comfort of our beds.

Also included is an entertainment system with 37" LCD TV, Blu Ray DVD and WiFi.
Capercaillie is surrounded by a true Highland landscape.
Situated within the glen and commanding views over the Glen Dochart.
Often complimented by the abundance of bird and wild life that an be seen on the estate.
It is not unusual to see the deer meandering off the hill and passing nearby the cottage into the lambing meadow.
The Portnellan Estate has been privately owned by the same family for well over 30 years and offers fantastic facilities to include fresh run salmon and trout fishing on the estate lochs and river, mountain bikes with plenty of trails on and off road for all abilities.
Canoes and rowing boats on the river and loch.
Clay pigeon shooting can also be arranged.
Wifi is available throughout the estate as well as BBQ hire, DVD library and a large selection of board games.
There is a games room with small gym, table football, pool table and table tennis.
We can even offer eggs from the chickens on the estate and a selection of organic meat products fresh from a farm locally. perfect for the BBQ or home cooking.
The Portnellan Estate is so centrally located for exploring Central/West Scotland with known landmarks only a short distance away.
Oban 45 mins, Stirling, Fort William and Glasgow just over an hour.

This place was beautiful, clean, and had plenty of room. We felt like we had our own private Loch. Essentially we did. Such a beautiful area. The owner/manager was friendly with excellent communication. He also gave us great recommendations for where to explore. I would highly recommend this place or any place on the Portnellan Estate.

We loved the space and the back garden had amazing views over the loch. Close to many beautiful hikes as well! Host was very helpful and we recommend checking out the Portnellan website to see his other properties and the amenities as well. Will definitely be back again soon!.

Beautiful Scotland Beautiful cottage. The cottage was perfect for our 2 families with little kids. Everything was perfect as described. Cameron was very kind and helpful. Highly recommended. Thank you.
