Hares Rest Cabin – Relax, Recharge & Reconnect in the Welsh Countryside
Nestled in the heart of rural Wales, Hares Rest offers stunning views and peaceful surroundings, all best enjoyed from your private hot tub— the perfect spot to unwind.
Set on a popular, family-friendly site, this charming cabin features a generous decked area with outdoor seating, ideal for alfresco dining.
There's also a fire pit for toasting marshmallows under the stars, and a nearby children's play area for hours of entertainment. Inside, you’ll find a stylish open plan living and kitchen area, complete with modern furnishings and thoughtful touches.
The kitchen is well-equipped with light grey cabinetry, copper accents, under cabinet lighting, and all the appliances you need — including a microwave, fridge with freezer box, gas hob and sink with drainer. The cosy living space features a large L-shaped sofa and TV, perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure.
This area can also be converted into an extra-wide sleeping space (sleeps up to 6 total with an additional fee). At the rear, the dining area seats six around a free standing table and transforms into a sleeping space with a wall-mounted double bed. Above, a ladder-accessed mezzanine provides a flexible sleeping arrangement with a double or twin beds. The modern bathroom includes a spacious shower, heated towel rail, vanity sink unit, and WC — everything you need to refresh and recharge. Whether you're staying in or heading out, Hares Rest is perfectly located.
The market town of Rhayader is just minutes away, offering pubs, cafes, and local shops.
The stunning Elan Valley and Gilfach Nature Reserve are also nearby — ideal for walking, nature watching, and soaking up the fresh Welsh air. Please be advised that there is a 10pm outdoor noise curfew.

A delightful cabin situated in the heart of the Welsh countryside has the most beautiful views, which can all be enjoyed from the comfort of your own exclusive hot tub.
Located on an ever popular site, Hares Rest has an excellent outdoor space, with outdoor seating on the decking area for alfresco dining as well as a private hot tub as mentioned and also a fire pit, is there anything better then your own toasted gooey marshmallows? As well as all of this, there is on site play area which is perfect for the children to spend hours of fun!
Inside the property you will be greeted with the spacious open plan living & kitchen area which makes a stylish statement with on trend furnishings.
In the well equipped kitchen, you’ll find sleek solid kitchen doors in light grey, complemented by copper finish handles and taps, a statement tile-effect splashback and under-cupboard LED lighting. Space for the chef is optimised with a long worktop surface, while quality appliances including an integrated microwave and under counter fridge with freezer box, two-burner gas hob with extractor fan and domestic style sink bowl with drainer provide everything you need for preparing family meals together.
In the living area, a large fixed L-shape sofa with scatter cushions offers plenty of room for everyone to sit back, relax and enjoy their favourite TV series. This area can then be made into an extra wide sleeping space for night time for up to 6 guests for an additional fee.
To the rear of the lodge, the dining area has seating for up to six around a free standing table, the perfect place to dine and make even more memories! At night, this space conveniently transforms for sleeping into a wall mounted double bed and above this space is a mezzanine area with a double bed or alternately twin beds to suit, this is accessed by a ladder.
The generous wash room includes a large shower enclosure, heated electric towel radiator, contemporary dual flush WC, vanity cupboard with sink, shaver socket and extractor fan – perfect for freshening up ahead of the next adventure.
We’re thrilled to welcome alpacas to our site - these friendly and curious animals are sure to bring smiles and a touch of magic to your holiday, making your visit even more special and unforgettable!
Located in an excellent area, whether you are looking for a relaxing stay at the property or to explore the locality there are lots of things to see and do! Rhayader, a quaint market town is just down the road, you will find places to eat and relax in as well as local shops to browse around. Elan Valley & Gilfach Nature Reserve are also just a stones throw away, the perfect places to explore, walk, relax and taking in the rural Welsh air.
