Nestled in the heart of Appledore, a quayside village in Devon is Honeymoon Cottage, a delightful, one-bedroom abode.
Resting paces away from a hub of amenities and the coastline, Honeymoon cottage is ideally situated being just a short walk to the quayside, with the spectacular views of the estuary and across to Instow yet enjoying the relative peace and tranquillty of this secluded lane.
This petite cottage mixes both character and style, providing a well-equipped bolthole for a couple or a small family: three guests and a furry companion are invited.
Park up on the roadside and make the short journey on foot, before reaching your wonderful, new abode.
Venture indoors to be greeted by a homely open-plan living space, where you can prepare meals in the compact kitchen, dine together, and unwind with the TV for entertainment; take in the character of the home by appreciating the exposed brickwork and restored well where you can create your own atmosphere by illuminating the well in your own choice of colour, taking you back in time to the cottage’s origins.
Bask in your surroundings by enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine whilst resting upon the front bench, watching the world go by, before heading upstairs to catch some rest in the family bedroom; benefit from a plush double and a handy 2'6 single, providing plenty of sleeping space for all, with hanging rail and chest of drawers for storing clothes.
The cottage is complete with an en-suite bathroom, where you can refresh and prepare for your coming days, ready to explore the region.
Start off locally by heading into Appledore, where you can stock up on the essentials and enjoy brunch from the Market Street Kitchen Café, before taking to the quay, strolling across Gray Sands beach, or hiking through Northam Burrows Country Park; following the coastline around will bring you to Westward Ho! Beach, a haven for watersports and surfing, whilst the Carousel Amusements are nearby, ideal for entertaining any children.
Stop off in Bideford, where you can tour the Burton Art Gallery and Museum, or birdwatch at the Kenwith Valley Nature Reserve, whilst Clovelly offers the perfect setting for those interested in maritime history, resting along the Hartland Devon Heritage Coast.

Tiny, but perfectly formed: the living areas in this petite home consist of an open-plan kitchen, dining area and sitting area featuring a restored, illuminated well and an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, boiling water dispenser, Smart TV. There is a family bedroom with a double and a single bed, serviced by an en-suite bathroom. Hanging rail and chest of drawers for storing clothes. Outside there is bench seating on the lane, and roadside parking approximately 150 metres away. One well-behaved dog is welcomed for a supplement pf £75, but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price, and a stairgate is installed to both the top and bottom of the stairs. You'll find a shop in 0.2 miles, a pub in 0.1 miles, and the beach in 1.8 miles. Honeymoon Cottage offers a delightful abode for a Devonshire break. Note: Guests can unload just a few metres away at the top of Vernons Lane, accessed by Alpha Place. Note: No travel cot or highchair available.
