Staveley is alive with artisan crafts, live music, and art galleries, and it's also an absolute treat for foodies.
Also within the village is the Eagle & Child Inn – a popular place for a hearty meal, with a pretty riverside beer garden.
All of these destinations are accessible by foot and only a 10 minute walk from the house.
You'll have to try them all! Heading out of the village, and just a 15 minute walk, is a micro brewery and traditional Lakeland pub, the Watermill Inn at Ings, offering up to 16 locally brewed ales to accompany food served in their restaurant.

We enjoyed the jacuzzi very much, which is why we booked. Sadly it stopped working properly on our 2nd full day and didn't resume. We were able to call the company that maintains the pool but couldn't get through to the owners or Sykes Cottages who we booked through. They were unable to get it up and running again. A real shame.
As mentioned above..the fact that the hot tub stopped working on our 2nd day.

Great space for 7 adults to meet. Pool table and hot tub added bonus.
Unfortunately the downstairs of the house, when 1st going in did smell of damp dog
(even though it was clean). Not having any animals ourselves it was a bit off putting. The property all over could benefit from a deep clean really, behind the sofa, the window frames etc.

A lovely location found the property easy A little dated and could do with a few touch up’s but on a whole the size and facilities were fine. We had a fantastic time and the weather was amazing !
