Town: Dore is a suburb situated close to the Sheffield, known as 'Dore Village'. Laying in the charming depths of South Yorkshire, England, the village rests on a hill above the River Sheaf which gave Sheffield its name, and until 1934 was part of Derbyshire,
now a suburb of the city. Although the village is a relatively small glimpse of Sheffield it has a rich and diverse collection of amenities, shops, restaurants, societies and interest groups, as well as three churches, two church halls and three public houses with restaurants. Dore is served by Dore and Totley railway station on the Hope Valley Line between Sheffield and Manchester. Close to the Peak District National Park, the lovely countryside is a magnet for hikers, dog-walkers and mountain bikers. Both villages have a selection of eateries and pubs.
