A new life has been given to this former dressmaking workshop by a lover of Mona Lisa who, as perfectionist as Leonardo da Vinci, wanted everything to be perfect.
In chocolate and gold tones, the long and well-lit living room with a lovely skylight is a warm living space where you'll enjoy having breakfast or an aperitif, seated on the plush sofa or the designer leather stools, always under the captivating gaze of the beautiful Gioconda.
The open-plan kitchen and bathroom are meticulously decorated with fine brickwork, giving the whole space a unique charm. The workshop is located not in Rome or Amboise, but right in the heart of one of Paris's liveliest districts, between Sentier and Grands Boulevards, on the very famous Rue Saint-Denis, a neighborhood famous for its Parisian women and trendy restaurants.
Leonardo da Vinci would probably have liked these streets that well embody creative frenzy, whether it concerns textiles, plays, or gastronomy.
You are only a few minutes from République, the Marais, or the Opera... but wouldn't the best idea be to head west and visit the real Mona Lisa at the Louvre Museum? The workshop has been entirely renovated to accommodate a maximum of 5 people. Adults only due to the presence of "filles de joie" (ladies of the night) who are part of the charm of Rue Saint-Denis. A tourist tax is applicable. PLEASE NOTE: Parties are strictly forbidden, under penalty of immediate termination without compensation. The staff! The staff! They were all so kind and helpful, from letting us know where the supermarket was located to arranging our transportation to the airport when departing.It was a great location with a cafe beside and directly across. It’s a busy area, but absolutely quiet within the apartment. It was a very lovely stay!
