Welcome to Chapel Cottage, our newly renovated 400-year-old cottage, where historic character meets modern comfort.
Ideal for up to four guests.
Serving as the perfect base for exploring the beautiful South Lakes area and coast.
Coniston water just a short drive away, perfect for walks, swimming and paddle-boarding.
You will also have the added bonus of stunning walks right from the doorstep.
Our cottage promises a memorable stay amidst stunning landscapes. Step inside to find a cozy living area featuring original slate floors and beamed ceilings, exuding timeless charm.
Comfy sofas and a smart TV complement the inviting log burner, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.
The well-equipped kitchen maintains its traditional feel while providing all the modern conveniences you need to prepare delicious meals. Upstairs, you'll find two separate comfortable bedrooms designed to ensure a restful night's sleep.
Each room is thoughtfully decorated, blending historic features with modern touches.
A bathroom with a large walk-in shower, toilet, and wash basin is also on the top floor. The private outdoor space is perfect for enjoying the fresh Lake District air. Fire up the BBQ for alfresco dining or simply relax. Guest will have the whole cottage and garden to themselves. The 400-year-old cottage, with its low ceilings in some areas and original stone flooring and stairs, is unfortunately not suitable for young children or individuals with mobility issues due to these architectural features. IMPORTANT: On behalf of our host at Pass the Keys, we require guest verification facilitated by Truvi (Previously called Superhog). Upon confirming your booking, Truvi will contact the lead booker via a secure link, providing detailed instructions for the verification process. The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card.
During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay. Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided.
If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
