A spanish style property situated on a gated complex. Facilities include 2 swimming pools, a tennis court and a childrens play area, all surrounded by well maintained mature gardens. The property is situated on the beach. Walk through your own patio gate straight onto the beach. The area is quite and very safe for children as the Mar Menor Lagoon is shallow and warmer than the Mediterranian sea. There are wonderful views of the bay with coastal beach walks both ways.
The property consists of a large well equiped kitchen. Fitted with Hob/oven, Dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and Microwave. Also has breakfast table and chairs. This leads out to Utility area with Washing machine and sink unit and hot water boiler. There is a patio door leading from the utility room out to the patio.
There is a spacious lounge with 2 sofas and chairs with large dining table with seating for 6 peaple. There is a 40" "Smart" TV with all main U.K. channels, a DVD p;ayer and "Wifi" internet connection. A large Slding window leads out to the terrace with Patio furniture and sesational views of the bay and Islands.
With direct access to the beach.
At other end of lounge marble stairs lead up to Bathroom and Garage.
On the first floor is the Master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. There is access to a balcony were you can sit and enjoy bay and islands. There is a further double bedroom on this level with fitted wardrobes and access to balcony.
On the 2nd floor is a futher double bedroom with fitted wardrobes and "Juliet" balcony and a bathroom. Marble staircase leads to Spacious "Solarium" with
loungers and shower. Also with sensational sea views right accross the bay to the islands and mainland.
All main rooms have air conditioning or heating with adjustable thermotat in lounge and bedrooms.
Although you have the facilities of 2 swimming pools, the enclosed shallow bay
provides safe swimming for all the family and it has the advantage of being right outside on the beach.
Although it is recommended to have a car there are bars, restaurants and shops within walking distace. There are regular local buses that will take you all along the "La Manga" strip where you can see the traditional port of Cabo de Palos full of local boats and places to sample the local fish. There are championship sports centres and golf courses in the area and of course the historic city of
Cartagena going back to Roman times ( Has well preserved Roman Theatre )
Also enjoy large variety of restuarants and shops.
The "Strip" is up to 1 km. wide in places and in others a mere 100m. and is over 18km. long. An ideal area for water sports, jet sking, canoeing, sailing, diving and the very popular kite surfing. There are numerous places that offer these facilities all along the Mar Menor beach. There are endless bars to choose and
Plaza Bohemia and Zocos if you like a exciting night life atmosphere.
Peke Park near Monte Blanco is ideal for the children.
There are markets nearly every day between La Manga and San Javier with a large one at Cabo de Palos.
There is a regular ferry from Tomas Meastre Marina, the largest marina on the La Manga strip. There are an amazing selection of boats, some of which are very expensive. The ferry goes across the Mar Menor to Santiago de la Ribera. This takes about 40 minutes and costs about €4 per person each way. It is a good way to see the coastline around the Mar Menor and, if you go in the morning, you often have the Spanish equivalent of the Red Arrows (who are based at the airport) practising above you.
There is private parking outside the property for 2 cars and a garage. All linen and towels are provided. Sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms.
