The historic centre has retained all the charm of a typical south-western village, with its brick walls reflecting off the river Tarn. The Abbaye St-Michel or the Place du Griffoul, the parks and narrow streets full of life are not to be missed, for example on market day.

The reputation of Gaillac wines is well established and there are many things to see and taste. Stroll along the Chemins de la Vigne, meet the winegrowers, taste the reds, whites and rosés... There are more than 100 listed at the Maison des vins.

And if you want to put on your trainers and stroll through the vines and woods, ask your hosts for advice, they know their vineyards inside out.

Independent gîte, just outside Gaillac towards Albi, close to the owners' house. The gîte was completely refurbished in 2014.
