The cabin in the grounds of our Cottage has been fitted out to a high standard.
There is a large sitting room with a sofa, TV, two armchairs, bistro dining table with 2 chairs.
The main ground floor bedroom has a king size bed with en-suite shower room, there is also an additional bathroom off the sitting room. The space is ideal for 2 adults, however an additional loft can be booked for max of 2 more guests if required but please read the notes below.
The loft ladders take you up to the cosy loft sleeping areas, this is open plan above the sitting room and on one side it has a double mattress, whilst the other side has 2 singles - 1 loft ONLY per booking. The mezzanine double will be made up if the cabin is booked for more than 2 people - please let me know in advance whether you prefer 2 singles beds instead.
The mezzanine is suitable for agile adults, has restricted ceiling height, steep ladders and open sides and if used for children under 13 IS STRICTLY AT PARENTAL DISCRETION. Babies and non crawling infants are very welcome. Guests will need to take full responsibility for the safety of children and adults in the cabin when using the mezzanine.
Kitchenette with portable small oven/grill, hotplate, fridge, sink, toaster, kettle, crockery, cutlery, glasses, corkscrew and Nespresso machine. A small plug in counter top mini oven and single ring halogen hob are provided - this is not a fully fitted kitchen so if you are planning any gourmet meals this may not work for you! The bistro table only seats 2 people so please keep in this in mind if booking for more than 2 guests.
The rear garden is reserved for residents of the main house whilst cabin has a Private BBQ courtyard to the front.

The Cabin is in the grounds of Railway Junction Cottage. Each property has it's own entrance and outside seating area including BBQ but guests should be aware of the close proximity.
This superior New Forest National Park Property consists of the Cottage and the Cabin. Both have been lovingly refurbished and designed. There are private BBQ areas and garden areas for both units and plenty of space for all.
The Cottage has 3 bedrooms, 1x Super King, 1x double, plus a cosy full sized single bunk room. With a fully fitted kitchen, lovely living area in the garden conservatory (Please DO NOT USE the fire in the conservatory it is closed off) . The Dining area has a fully functional log burner for cosy evenings in, downstairs WC and laundry, and a boot room. The cottage garden is to the rear of the conservatory with a BBQ and seating area to the side.
The Cabin has a lovely downstairs ensuite bedroom, a separate main living area with comfy chairs, kitchenette 2-seat table and sleeping lofts above with restricted ceiling height, steep ladders and open sides and if used for children under 13 IS STRICTLY AT PARENTAL DISCRETION. Babies and non crawling infants are very welcome. Guests will need to take full responsibility for the safety of children and less agile adults in the cabin when using the loft. The cabin kitchenette is limited to a small oven and hob, with fridge and sink. The cabin has access to its own BBQ Courtyard to the rear and use of a terrace to the front.
There are several walks directly from the property or a short car journey will take you to many other areas to explore. Brockenhurst village is a 20-minute walk during which you may meet the odd new forest pony, cow or donkey, the walk to the village does not have pavements for the entire route and there is limited street lighting at night. We would recommend hiring or bringing bikes if you are not planning to use your car.
There is one designated parking bay for the cabin and two spaces for the cottage
Please note that we are situated beside a slow section of the railway line, you can hear the trains. This does not affect most guests and of course we don't even notice them.

Cozy, homely and comfortable. I stayed with my 4 adult children and there was plenty of room. Beds were clean and comfortable. Trains were frequent throughout the evening but didn’t disturb sleep. Tricky driveway to navigate from one direction.

A short car drive to Brockenhurst and in the thick of the new forest this well appointed and secluded property fits the bill for a quick escape. Lovely dining and conservatory area with room in the garden for barbeque or alfresco dining. Clear communications from the owner and a memorable family stay, recommended !
