There is plenty to do within a 10-15 minute walk of your front door!
Wander through history at the Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower (10min walk) or The Royal Navy Submarine Museum (20min walk), two of the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard's museums on the Gosport side, or catch the ferry to Portsmouth Harbour and meander the main grounds. There is so much to learn and experience, if you're a history buff I strongly suggest taking at least two days and getting an Explorer's Pass to really be able to take your time with the different ships, museums, exhibits, and shopping! Speaking of shopping, the Gunwharf Quays is also a short walk from the Portsmouth Harbour station and is the South coast's leading designer shopping outlet: home to over 90 famous brands!
Also at the Explosion Museum you will also find a cafe, an art shop, and the Powder Monkey Pub/Brewery, perfect for fans of local craft drinks and food.
Arty's Restaurant is just to the right as you leave, as is the Pump House for tea/coffee/brunch or walk a little further to the Boathouse on the marina have a cocktail or some lunch while taking in the stunning views. The Old Bakehouse Pub is to your left as you exit your front door- a lovely place for a dinner and great views of the Spinnaker as it changes colours, or to catch a game at the bar!
The nearest supermarket is the Aldi on Mumby Rd, about a 15 minute walk- if you are coming from the ferry terminal though it's along the way!
There is a code to get into the front door and a lockbox on your flat door as well- these codes will be sent to you on the morning of arrival.
Relax in the spacious living room- sip a glass of wine and watch the boats in the harbour, or kick you feet up and unwind after a day of walking the streets of Gosport: there's always something to watch on the smart TV, read a book, or pull out a sketch pad and .try your hand at capturing the beautiful views. The entire flat is decorated with stylish ocean-themed artwork and sculptures, and the industrial/modern style is airy and spacious.
The full kitchen has everything you need to make a delicious meal, and a dining table with seating for four right by the corner window provides diners with a view. There is also a dishwasher, which will help make clean-up a breeze, and all basic necessities like salt, sugar, oil, coffee, and tea are provided. We also provide a full-size fridge/freezer for longer stays.
The bedroom has a luxurious king sized bed, and in the corner there is a desk with a monitor- perfect for business travellers or if you bring work with you. And whenever you need a breather, just glance up from the screen and watch the masts in the breeze. There is also a dresser for clothes storage and a hanging rack.
There is a washer/dryer in the hallway closet, and the other hall door leads to the bathroom. Treat yourself to a bath after a long day exploring Gosport, or take a quick rinse in the shower before heading out to dinner.
This home is more than a place to lay your head- it's an experience to remember!
The nearest train station is Portsmouth Harbour- you will need to disembark then take the five minute ferry over to Gosport. The flat is a 20 minute walk from the Gosport Ferry terminal.
If you are bringing a vehicle, there is a parking lot on site, but you will need a permit (which we we leave at the property). The charge for permits is £3.60 per permit per day.
