In der kalten Jahreszeit war das Haus angenehm vorgeheizt. Der Holzofen genügte in der Regel um das Haus warm zu halten. Nur ca. 300 m bis zum Strand, der bis zu weiteren ca. 800 m tief ist. Alles was man im täglichen Leben so braucht ist im Haus in ausreichendem Maße und brauchbar vorhanden.

Wir waren über den Jahreswechsel da und es gab heftige Sturmböen. Mit Ofen, Sauna und gut funktionierender Wärmepumpe war es ausgesprochen gemütlich, sich drin im Warmen aufzuhalten, zu lesen und den Blick auf die Dünen zu geniessen.
