A Georgian country Villa in the outstandingly beautiful Wye Valley, which straddles the England-Wales border.
It's a land of misty mornings, shaded forests, valley meadows, not to mention glorious sunsets and star-filled skies. Bromsash House is a grand, handsome Georgian home with endless appeal with some parts dating back to the 1400's. The gardens are magnificent and boast a huge array of unusual trees, fruit trees, rose bushes, and magnolias, creating perfect areas in which to play and explore. "We didn't want to Leave" Guest Pete Saunders. The tone is set as soon as you enter.
Chandeliers hang from ceilings, artwork adorns the walls and there are antiques and objet d’art everywhere.
Georgian features underpin it all, but there’s a mix of styles put together with flair – and more than the occasional Bohemian flourish.
Having said all that, this place is no museum.
It’s there to be lived in and enjoyed and is very much a family home.
The turquoise sofas of the peacock-themed drawing room and the oatmeal Chesterfield in the neighbouring sitting room are as comfy as they are stylish.
There’s a grand dining room where you can eat together and a kitchen that’s a pleasure to cook in. Upstairs in the main Georgian Villa, there are five bedrooms (One Super-King, 3 King and one 4-person double bunk room) and four bathrooms which are no less opulent than downstairs.
One has a super-king-size bed and an en-suite with a bath, separate shower and his-and-hers sinks.
Another has a roll-top bath with views to the hills and forests beyond.
All have a TV, including the twin bunk bedded room Your booking includes The Villa plus the adjacent Coach House: The adjacent Coach House has one Super-King bedroom with ensuite roll top bath, walk in shower and toilet.
There are a further two King bedrooms.
We havnt put TV'S in the coach house for those guests who might not want one. While the inside of the house is impressive, it’s what’s outside that might wow you the most.
The view, framed by architraved windows and French doors is a constant companion here.
It’ll draw you out to the garden where there’s a hot tub, plenty of seating and dining options, a BBQ and a Firepit, with a large lawn spreading out before you. Relax here or play a game of Bowls or Croquet.
Should you want to walk further, head to The Alma for lunch (1.3 Miles)– one of several good pubs nearby.
From here, it’s only three miles to Ross-on-Wye, half that to the Forest of Dean and a matter of less than half a mile to the nearest fishing lake and Golf Club. We will follow the guests' lead on how much interaction they like. p.s. feel free to ask us any questions.
