Beautiful characterful cottage inside and out that hugs you as you walk through the door. A generous welcome hamper and everything you need for an open fire were some of the thoughtful finishing touches that made all the difference. Private off street parking, and orchard garden with countryside views. We walked everywhere, fells, lakeside, shops and pubs in minutes. What a gem. We will be back!
A lovely cosy cottage in a nice village location with lots of amenities.

Another nice week in Blacksmiths Cottage, something we always look forward to. Most welcome this time was the good supply of wood for the log burner, which has been refurbished and now burns well. The ‘welcome pack’, which was supplied by one of the local shops, contained fresh bread and milk and locally made biscuits, flapjack etc. Looking forward to our next stay.

I had a lovely stay. The parking was a bonus. The garden pretty. And the accommodation clean and comfortable.
