The Willows is a spacious, comfortable, three bedroom ‘upside down’ converted coach house, set within the peaceful, secluded residential grounds of Holcombe Hall, on the cliff above Holcombe beach, between Dawlish and Teignmouth – a relaxing getaway and centre for discovering the many attractions of South Devon.
This family home, in its unique setting, has a large, open plan sitting/dining room on the upper floor, connected to a well-appointed modern kitchen, and cloakroom with wc, and direct access to The Willows’ two lovely, decked sun terraces.
On the ground floor, there is a large master en suite bedroom with luxurious super king bed, a large double room with king sized bed, a cozy twin room, perfect for children, featuring two small single beds, and the family bathroom, meaning the property can comfortably accommodate up to six guests.
Wander down the estate’s private path to its communal clifftop garden, taking in the breath-taking view across the South Devon coastline, or make your way down to Smuggler’s Lane and Holcombe beach itself, which is 5 minutes’ walk from The Willows’ front door.
The house is also very close to the South West Coastal path, and is an ideal centre for both walking holidays and family seaside adventures.
You can walk to Teignmouth and Dawlish in forty minutes and return by regular bus route after relaxing in their many local cafes! The village of Holcombe itself has the Crown Inn, Smugglers Inn, and the Salty Dog Kiosk café is at the bottom of the garden near the beach (March to November). The Willows is 5 minutes’ drive from both Teignmouth and Dawlish, with their beaches, water sports, local shops, a range of supermarkets, cafes, museum, theatres and unique seaside atmosphere.
Shaldon, with its zoo, cafes, botanical gardens and Ness Cove, is less than 15 minute’s drive away, or a short hop across the Teign Estuary from Teignmouth Back Beach on Britain’s oldest passenger ferry. The culture and history of Exeter, attractions and seaside splendour of Torbay, arts and crafts of Totnes, and the majesty of Haytor on Dartmoor are all 30-40 minutes away by car, and there are excellent bus and train connections close to the house. There is secure parking for one car allocated to The Willows on the Estate, and further parking on the private road of Holcombe Drive. As this property is situated in a quiet neighbourhood it is not suitable for noisy entertainment or parties after 11pm Whether it’s a short break or a family holiday, there is something for everyone at The Willows, from the local beach to the regional attractions - the perfect place for a break away in this wonderful location.

Close to Dawlish and Teignmouth. A great location and lovely private walk to the beach. The best place I have ever stayed in. Clear, concise instructions for everything and a lovely welcome gift on arrival. We will definitely stay here again.

We have all had such a beautiful stay. Such a great location. Beautiful wander down to the beach where we all went swimming/paddle boarding. The house has really made the holiday perfect, felt like living in our dream home

The Willows is a lovely place to spend Christmas. We were able to relax and enjoy the time we spent in the house. Lots to see and do in the area.
