No 1 Ashey is a modern house with an abundance of space which makes it the superb base for larger families looking to holiday on the Isle of Wight.
The spacious lounge/diner offers a large leather sofa to seat all the family, furnished with modern decor, a TV with Free view and DVD player.
A dining table to seat 8 is situated overlooking the garden with an extra TV. There is a separate utility room to the side of the dining area via two steps, which houses a basin, washing machine and tumble dryer. The kitchen is fitted with modern gloss units, built in electric oven with gas hob. There is also a microwave, American fridge freezer, toaster and kettle. A double bedroom is located on the ground floor with French doors which lead onto the patio. A shower room with WC, hand basin and heated towel rail is also located on the ground floor. Upstairs there are 3 modern bedrooms with wooden flooring, 2 spacious double bedrooms and one twin bedroom. There is a generously sized family bathroom which includes a bath with an overhead shower, WC, hand basin and heated towel rail. To the rear of the property there is a fully enclosed garden area split into four areas, a stunning patio overlooking the pool with outdoor seating, There is also an outside WC and hand basin. There are steps that lead to you down to the heated swimming pool (available from April- September). Artificial grass with a swinging seat. The gated entrance will lead you through to a large, paved driveway suitable for up to four cars. THE ISLAND HOLIDAY COMPANY ARE ABLE TO OFFER DISCOUNTED FERRY TRAVEL TO THE ISLE OF WIGHT WHEN YOU BOOK YOUR HOLIDAY THROUGH US. LOCATION: Ryde with its host of shops, bars, restaurants and cafés. The property is also located just a short stroll from the marvellous beach at Appley.
The stretches of sand at Ryde offer fantastic views across the Solent to Portsmouth, with the landmark Spinnaker Tower forming an impressive backdrop to a busy shipping channel, which carries an interesting array of freight, passenger and military ships.
Along the promenade, ten pin bowling, a fun fair, canoe lake and a swimming pool, providing plenty to do within the local area.
You can also enjoy the scenic coastal walks, go crabbing, sailing, fishing, horse riding, golf or even go-karting, all of which are easily accessible from the property. If it becomes apparent that you have brought a pet(s) with you but did not advise us, we will contact you to request payment separately. There is no electric car charger on site and guests are prohibited from using the mains electric in the property to charge a car. If it becomes apparent a car is being charged, then the guest may be charged an additional amount to cover the extra cost. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The Island Holiday Company are responsible for the full management of this property and should you need to contact us during your stay we are available between 9-5 Monday to Friday, We also operate an out of hours emergency service on the weekends - please refer to your property brochure left inside the property, for further information and contact details. No stag or hen parties are permitted at any of our properties. This property does not accept any more than 6 adults at any given time and parties are strictly forbidden. There is a strict no smoking/vaping policy, inside all our properties. Linens and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels and cot linen as necessary. SWIMMING POOL: Heated swimming pool (available May-End Sept). No glass to be used around the pool.
If the pool requires re-filling because of broken glass around the area, then the Company reserves the right to retain the security deposit. Dogs are not allowed in the swimming pool a charge will apply and be taken from deposit if this is not adhered to. Please be respectful of the property and the neighbours during your stay; leaving the property as you found it on your arrival. A breach of the above rules and guidelines could mean forfeiture of the Security Deposit. The house was well equipped and a good size for the 5 adults & 2 children in our group.
The location was great for getting around the island.
The pool, gym and hot tub were a brilliant asset and we were able to use the pool & hot tub daily as the pool was heated.
