Located in the heart of the Corbières, between the Mediterranean Sea and the Pyrenees, on a private 18-hectare estate, the house is ideal for families, groups of friends, hikers, dreamers, and all those seeking to slow down, reconnect with the essentials, and live differently, far from the hustle and bustle.
In the summer, a small stone pool offers refreshment in the shade of the trees (outside of drought periods).
At La Gauna, every season has its charm, and every stay is a promise of freedom, silence, and authenticity.
A piano is available.
On-site, the owners, saffron producers, will share their passion for their craft and their land.
On the ground floor: - a large entrance hall. - a separate toilet. - a shower room. - a large living room-kitchen with a gas stove (Italian coffee maker). - a back kitchen with a freezer and washing machine. - a living room with a fireplace. - Bedroom 1: double bed (140 cm) and en-suite shower room-WC.
Upstairs: - Bedroom 2: double bed (160 cm) and 2 single beds (90 cm). - Bedroom 3: double bed (140 cm) and single bed (90 cm). - Bedroom 4: with 1 double bed (140 cm). - Bedroom 5: 2 single beds (90 cm). - Bathroom (shower, WC).
In front of the house, enjoy beautiful summer days in the cool shade of the linden and chestnut trees.
As evening falls, let yourself be enchanted by the mildness of the long evenings, ideal for sharing a good meal outdoors.
The house is self-sufficient in water and electricity.
This autonomy implies eco-consumption: high-resistance energy-consuming appliances are prohibited (electric coffee maker, hairdryer, deep fryer, raclette grill, etc.), but the kitchen is well-equipped with alternatives.
In summer, the use of sanitary water should be moderate; drinking water is provided.
Access is via a passable dirt road for approximately 1 km.
