Built in 2023, Y Cwt is an eco-conscious build made from SIP panels on screw pile foundations—an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional construction. Its black corrugated steel cladding gives it the look of a contemporary agricultural building, complementing the nearby Ty’n Llan cottage, an 18th-century Grade II listed Welsh longhouse. Guests arrive through a gated entrance, greeted by the satisfying crunch of gravel as they approach this sleek home. Inside, the open-plan living space includes a well-equipped kitchen, a cosy dining area, and a comfortable lounge. The utility area is handy for laundry and has a microwave for quick snacks, while the kitchen features an induction hob, oven, air fryer, and fridge. Meals can be enjoyed around the dining table, and evenings are best spent relaxing on the sofa, watching a film or admiring the views through large windows.
