Welcome to Hollybush Studio, a charming countryside retreat nestled in the village of Datchworth.
Perfectly suited for up to 4 guests, this delightful and quiet property offers a peaceful blend of rustic character and modern comfort. Hollybush Studio boasts a beautifully maintained private garden, ideal for relaxing or dining al fresco with the provided outdoor furniture.
The exterior’s classic timber cladding and lush surroundings create a secluded, tranquil atmosphere—perfect for couples, solo travellers, or small families. Inside, you'll find an open-plan living area that seamlessly connects the cosy lounge, fully equipped kitchen, and dining space. The bright and airy bedroom features two comfortable beds and a warm wooden interior, with charming touches like an easel and telescope, making it a great spot for creatives or stargazers.
A cosy wood-burning stove and ample natural light add to the serene ambiance. Hollybush Studio was a working artist studio where John McLusky drew his iconic James Bond comic art for the Daily Express.
John drew all the original Fleming 007 stories from his desk on the first floor.
The Studio is styled as a mid century bachelor pad and in keeping with the creative history of the Studio there is an artists easel, a manual typewriter, guitar, vinyl record player, telescope and books popular from the 1950s. Datchworth is a picturesque village in Hertfordshire, England, known for its quintessential English charm and peaceful rural setting.
Surrounded by rolling countryside, the village features traditional cottages, a welcoming community, and a historic green often used for cricket matches.
With a local pub, village hall, and easy access to nearby towns like Knebworth and Stevenage, Datchworth (both with train stations),offers a perfect blend of countryside tranquility and convenient connectivity.
