The Black Barnacle is a fabulous lodge in Portreath, situated in the popular county of Cornwall.
This property is perfect for a group of friends or a family looking for a getaway as it boasts a hot tub, a woodburning stove in the open-plan living area, and a private roof terrace with amazing sea views.
Walk up a few steps to enter the contemporary open-plan living area.
Choose from the corner or normal sofa to sit back and indulge in the holiday vibe.
Make your way to the kitchen area to find everything you need for a lovely self-catered stay.
Let the chef of the group do their thing with an electric oven and induction hob on hand.
Plate the food up at the dining table to share some laughs as you tuck in. In the afternoon, head outside, then dabble in some alfresco dining on the garden decking.
Head upstairs onto the roof terrace to take in the majestic sea views as you wash your dinner down with a drink or two. Top off the evening with a dip in the hot tub when the sun sets.
If the evening breeze sends a shiver down your spine, then head back indoors to warm up by the woodburning stove.
All agree on a show to watch on the Smart TV for some evening entertainment.

The Black Barnacle consists of a kitchen with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, kettle and toaster, a dining area with seating for six people, and a sitting area with a Smart TV, WiFi and a woodburning stove. The bedrooms consist of a king-size (zip/link, can be twin on request) with Smart TV and en-suite walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC, a twin (zip/link, can be king-size on request) with TV, and a twin with TV, along with a bathroom with bath, shower over, basin, heated towel rail and WC. Outside, there is an enclosed front garden with decking, hot tub and furniture, an enclosed roof terrace with furniture, and allocated off-road parking for one car. Within 1.3 miles, you will find a shop, within 0.1 you will find a pub, and within 0.9 miles, a beach, and please note that this is a non-smoking property with no pets allowed. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price, along with a starter pack for the woodburning stove. The Black Barnacle is a stylish coastal escape, ideal for families or friends looking to unwind and explore the seaside. Note: Steps lead up to the entrance, please take care. Fantastic lodge.We had a wonderful couple of days in this high spec, clean and comfortable lodge. There is an amazing roof terrace with views out to the sea, which we didn’t get to use with a stay at the end of October.
