Ammoudi itself has an easy, authentic Greek atmosphere: a handful of family-run tavernas and beachside restaurants set out tables overlooking the water, serving platters of just-caught fish, paired with a glass of Verdea, the island’s distinctive white wine.
The small supermarket makes daily rituals easy, with bread, local honey, and cheeses to take back to the villa.
And when the mood calls for a change of pace, the seaside villages of Alykanas (3.5km) and Alykes (4.5km) are only a short drive away. Inspired by warm Mediterranean tones, Sol’s exterior carries a hint of Moroccan charm.
